Release & Recharge: Mid-Holiday Rest for Mind, Body, and Spirit

Date: Saturday, December 27th
Time: 10:00 – 11:30 am
Location: Virtual Class - Zoom

An invitation to Pause

Halfway through the journey, as I heard a woman say in passing today, "You are in the midst of it." Sometimes, a pause while we are in the thick of things can enhance our experience of what is yet to come. Join us, for a holiday RESET for your whole-body system.

This session is dedicated to releasing the chaotic energy of the holiday’s and recalibrating your entire system. We’ll move beyond surface-level relaxation and engage in deep somatic practice to clear the residual stress, and external noise that has accumulated in your body.

This session is designed as a complete energetic reset for you body, mind and spirit moving beyond surface relaxation into deep cellular rest. We’ll utilize the synergy of three powerful modalities:

  1. Lymphatic Movement: We begin by moving the physical body to stimulate the lymphatic system, releasing stagnant energy and initiating the detox process.

  2. Breathwork: We then utilize the breath as sacred technology to deepen the release, clear emotional and energetic fragmentation, and safely move through the energy that chronic stress accumulates.

  3. Yoga Nidra (Deep Rest): We complete the integration with a guided journey into the deepest state of rest, allowing the nervous system to fully process the shift and anchor the sense of unconditional wholeness into your being.

Small Group Breathwork Healing

Our next class will be in January

Breathwork is a powerful, accessible modality for integral healing that serves as a direct pathway to the core of vitality and inherent wisdom housed within each and every one of us. Through consciously and systematically altering the rhythm of the breath, this practice safely induces a non-ordinary state of consciousness, allowing us to gently bypass the incessant critique of the analytical mind. This bypass is crucial, as it provides direct access to the suppressed emotional energy, somatic memory, and trauma often stored deep within the body's tissues.

Fundamentally, breathwork fosters profound and lasting nervous system regulation, actively interrupting cycles of chronic stress and shifting the body's baseline from a state of constant survival (fight-or-flight) to deep rest and repair. The profound results are not merely relaxation, but the liberation of mental and emotional blockages, leading to greater mental clarity, significantly reduced anxiety, enhancement of self-compassion, and the undeniable recognition of one's innate wholeness and spiritual sovereignty.

Restorative Breathwork

Sunday’s 10 am at Riverside Health Club in Mount Vernon

This class is an invitation to explore the most intimate and powerful resource you own: your breath. Through gentle prompts and guided breath sequences, we’ll move beyond unconscious, autopilot breathing and learn to use our breath as a potent tool for self-regulation, inner exploration, and profound release. This is a practice of deep listening, designed to re-establish a relationship with your body from the inside out.

In these classes, we’ll journey through the living anatomy of your breath. You will be guided to sense and mobilize the primary engine of your respiratory system—the diaphragm—and explore the intricate movements of your ribs, spine, and abdomen. By consciously inhabiting these spaces, we can unwind deeply held tensions, soothe our nervous systems, and massage our inner landscapes. You will learn practical, tangible techniques to down-regulate stress and uncover your body’s innate capacity for healing and resilience.

The breath is more than just mechanics; it’s the bridge between your physical body and your emotional world. As we create safety and space within our tissues, we also create the container to meet what lies within. This practice offers a soulful opportunity to connect with your own inner wisdom, gently release stored emotional patterns, and come home to a more authentic, integrated version of yourself.

This class is for everybody and requires no prior experience—only a curiosity to explore. Come discover the quiet power that resides in your own breath.

Barre

Tuesday evenings, 6:30 pm at Riverside Health Club in Mount Vernon

Annalise's Barre class is a high-energy, low-impact workout that blends elements of yoga, Pilates, and strength training, all set to the beat and lyrics of uplifting music. Using the barre and light props, she will guide you through a full-body experience that is as fun as it is effective. No dance experience is required—just a willingness to connect with your body and explore your potential.

This is more than just another barre class. While you’ll certainly feel the signature burn of small, isometric movements, her focus is on the “why" behind every pulse and plié. She emphasizes impeccable form and mindful alignment, helping you build deep stability around your joints and move with greater awareness. Think of it as a workout designed to upgrade your body’s entire operating system. You’ll be challenged to uncover your movement blind spots and build a more integrated, resilient body from the inside out.

In this class, you will improve muscular endurance, enhance your balance, and cultivate better posture. But more importantly, you will leave feeling not just stronger, but also smarter and more connected in your own body. Modifications and challenges are offered throughout, making this class a perfect fit for all fitness levels.

Come feel the burn, find the beat, and build a body that is as intelligent as it is strong.

Yoga Nidra

In a world that constantly demands our energy and attention, rest has become a practice we must prioritize and cultivate. Rest is, after all, a vital, non-negotiable skill. Yoga Nidra, or "yogic sleep," is a powerful meditation technique that guides you into a state of conscious relaxation between the states of waking and dreaming. Yoga Nidra is a systematic journey into the art and science of profound rest, designed to restore your body, refresh your mind, and reconnect you with your deepest self.

Our practice will begin by mapping the geography of your inner world. Inspired by a deep understanding of the body as a living landscape, you will be guided on a detailed tour of your own physical form. This systematic journey of awareness invites your muscles, bones, and even the deepest layers of your connective tissues to release long-held tension. As you inhabit your body with this level of presence, you learn to consciously down-regulate your nervous system, inviting a state of cellular-level ease and restoration.

As the body finds stillness, the mind can unfurl. We will leverage the science of how your brain responds to deep relaxation, guiding your awareness into restorative brainwave states typically only accessible during deep sleep. It is in this fertile, receptive state of consciousness from which we will connect with our intuition and plant a seed (Sankalpa), a heartfelt intention for our lives. This is where you can align your conscious desires with the quiet wisdom of your subconscious mind, creating a powerful blueprint for your life.

This class requires no prior experience or physical flexibility. All you need to do is lie down in a comfortable position and listen. Join us to recharge your entire system, improve sleep, reduce stress, and access the potent sanctuary of peace that already exists within you.
